We stayed at The Reeds in Torcross with 4 black Labradors and had a lovely week but when we went to rebook we were declined as the “cleaner” said was “there was thick black hair left”. I’m sorry but we swept and vacuumed the entire property before leaving, as well as cleaning the bathrooms and stripping the beds. Cannot say how disappointed and dissatisfied we are to be told this as if you don’t expect some dog hair left in the entire property then we suggest you don’t advertise as dog friendly and charge £30 per dog for the extra cleaning that comes with this! Also we could have complained ourselves that on arrival we had empty beer bottles in the cupboard in Lower Reeds and dead insects and cobwebs all over the front balcony in Upper Reeds and had to clean it ourselves before we felt we could sit out there. The patio area was also very dirty. Sorry to be negative but although a lovely property it’s not cheap and you obviously have to spring clean the place before you leave if you want to stay there again! Don’t know what the actual cleaner thinks their job it ?‍♀️ Cannot knock Toadhall Cottages as they were fantastic and we have stayed at their properties in the past with no problems and they are always extremely helpful.

We had a week away through THC, it was all well handled, the holiday let was nice, however at the end of the week the annexe we stayed in, had family (presumably back for the weekend) staying in part of it too, they were above our heads in our very small snug/siting room, and they were the opposite side of a locked door with an open keyhole, which was in the hallway where our bedroom and bathroom was. So we had to place something in front of the door and ensure that we were clothed. I gave THC feedback that we weren't happy not knowing that there would be people a few feet away from our bedroom and bathroom, or that we weren't advised prior to booking so that we could decide if that was ok. My feedback/review was never published or answered, and only 'good' feedback appears on the website. My feedback wasn't bad, we loved the place we stayed in, but to know that we would be sharing an annexe with people would have been nice to know? Our experience was Sept 2021 but I can't get the date to wok on this site..the place was Beech Farm Annexe near Lymington.

I WILL NEVER USE AGAIN. Booked an expensive bank holiday stay at The Old Post Office, BEESANDS, through this website. The property advert does not mention the fact that on every side of the building there are windows that open onto communal passageways. No privacy whatsoever, drinkers milling around past every window looking into the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. No chance of getting a refund as owner just expects us to suck it up. Dreadful, dreadful, do not book.
